Comprehensive Staff Training
At St Mary’s, we prioritise holistic care, ensuring our team is trained to meet the spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical needs of our residents. All staff complete regular mandatory training, including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, Dementia Awareness, Infection Control, Safeguarding Adults, MCA, Food Hygiene, and Basic Life Support.
Thorough Induction & Development
New employees undergo a 12-week induction programme covering practical skills and the 15 standards of the Care Certificate. We support staff progression with training up to Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care, with pathways to Level 3 for Senior Support Workers. Our Training Support Facilitator provides personalised guidance to meet individual development needs.

Nursing Excellence
Our Registered Nurses pursue external accredited training recognised by the Royal College of Nursing and receive support from Clinical Lead Nurses for revalidation every three years, maintaining the highest professional standards.
